The Women in IPO Section focuses its efforts on promoting equality and the incorporation of the gender perspective in the IPO area. The objective of the activities carried out in this section is to explore equal participation in the education, design, production and use of technologies, especially in ICT, but also to demand research, innovation and innovative products and more inclusive. Therefore, it seeks to achieve best practices and ICT products to promote a positive gender impact. The incorporation of the gender perspective in this creative process means participating in the design of a better common future.

In this sense, AIPO has been organizing the Engendering Technologies Workshop since 2014 and the Mari Carmen Marcos Award since 2018, and since 2021 it has participated in the SCIE-Mujer working group.
