The Human-Computer Interaction Association (AIPO) has announced the winners of its 9th Competition for Final Degree Projects (TFG) and Final Master’s Projects (TFM) within the scope of the IPO. After an exhaustive evaluation, the jury has decided to award the following prizes:
- Best Final Degree Project Award: Adnana Catrinel Dragut, from the Polytechnic School of Teruel at the University of Zaragoza, has been awarded for her work entitled “Use of conversational agents to improve the well-being of the elderly”, supervised by Raquel Lacuesta Gilaberte and Jesús Gallardo Casero.
- Best Final Master’s Project Award: Mario Andreu Villar, from the Master’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Shape Recognition and Digital Imaging at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, received the award for his study “Recognition of heterogeneous gestures for natural interaction in mixed reality applications using deep learning techniques”, directed by Carlos David Martínez Hinarejos.
- Second prize for the Final Degree Project: Álvaro Becerra Jiménez, from the Double Degree in Computer Engineering and Mathematics at the Autonomous University of Madrid, was recognized for his project “Multimodal data capture computer system to improve the learning of students in an online course”, under the direction of Ruth Cobos Pérez.
Thank you to all the students who have participated in this 9th edition of the AIPO awards. The quality of all the works has demonstrated the high level of our future professionals or researchers in the field of IPO.
The winners will receive a free registration to AIPO for one year and a certificate of accreditation. In addition, they will have to present their works at an online event aimed at the AIPO community, the details of which will be announced closer to the date.
